  Video of a Dolphin being rescued by a Scuba Diver! Beautiful footage!

  below is a video of a dolphin being rescued by a scuba diver in hawaii during a night time manta ray feeding excursion.

  the dolphin has a big hook in him and is twisted in fishing line, which is cutting into it's flesh and limiting it's range of motion.

  watch the dolphin go to the diver, and "ask" for help.

  I did read the thread. It started veering in the direction of Flu Shots Are Evil. That's why I decided to comment. Let's make peace, cofty. Like most parakeets, I do tend to get testy about some things.

  Love the photo, gnat. I once had an African grey parrot for 15 years. He was the best nonhuman friend I ever had.

  coffy: I have a theory that most of the time when people say they have the flu they actually don't.

  If you really get the flu somebody could offer you £1 million to walk 20 yards and you couldn't do it.

  You have a "theory." Are you an epidemiologist? The flu varies yearly, both in contagion and virulence. This year the flu has been reported as average in virulence but highly contagious. And I think most competent doctors know how to diagnose flu when they see it.

  If you think you're rolling the dice by not getting a flu shot, wake up. You may actually be playing Russian roulette. As well as forcing others to play it when you spread your flu around, especially to those who can't take the flu shot for medical reasons.

  Note to those who can't tolerate flu shots: If you get the flu, get to your doctor as soon as possible to receive anti-viral medication that can lesson the severity of your flu symptoms.

  Many here seem to think that "taking one for the team" is the unselfish thing to do

  but what if there are long term problems for yourself that may effect the quality of your life forevermore ?

  I had the flu back in the mid-1980s. It was so bad, that ever since I've gotten a flu shot every year. Very occasionally, I get a slight fever the next day. Haven't had the flu once since then. I get the pneumonia vaccination as well.

  I think any potential long-term problems of flu vaccinations are far outweighed by the long-term real problems of having the flu itself. Check the stats of those who catch the flu. Death is a very real possibility, as well as other documented ways flu can damage you.

  Getting the flu shot not only helps prevent your getting the flu, it helps prevent spreading flu to your family, friends, and coworkers.

  i was curious what is the youngest age any jw has been baptised.

  i thought it was hypocritical for jws to say wait for marriage because its such a big deal but "why wait to get baptised".

  i think my step sister was 11 years old.

  A word of caution

  please forgive me if you consider this to be presumptuous, i know i am an ultra-newbie here.

  but, i see a lot of threads on jwn that read something like, "what is your dog's name" or "where's your favorite vacation spot", "what's your special name for your spouse", etc.

  i give the opening posters of these threads the benefit of the doubt that they are creating them simply for entertainment purposes.

  It's rare, but it happens. Over the years I've heard of a few people being outed, usually by a fellow poster who knew the other's identity.

  Posters who are targeted by the WT are usually those who are very articulate and provide evidence of and make compelling arguments about the falsity of WT doctrine. I don't think the WT cares about what people name their dogs.

  To be on the safe side, limit how much personal information you reveal. Throw in a minor misdirection now and then. Claim a sister you don't have. Say you live in another state or country. Say you named your dog "Kitty." That makes it nearly impossible to track you down through personal details.

  seriously, i don't own a zambonee, swimming pool, basketball courts, tennis courts, work out gym, vollyball sand pit, horse shoe pit, orchards, sauna, maple syrup/apple cider processing room and now a golf course.

  Of course the WTS should practice what it preaches, but like all human organizations throughout history that have presumed to tell others how to live, those at the top live exactly as they like on the money their dupes supply.

  i visit this site often for various reasons, above all to see the opinions of those in regards to their present state in life in relation to past or present tendencies in thinking (religious, morals, etc).. i had not found anything constructive or worthy of adding to this conversation but for one reason or another here i am doing so now.

  i am presently an active jw member.

  i believe that our faith provides a haven or parameters from which members can significantly obtain structure and order in many different ways.

  Monsieur: I believe that our faith provides a ‘haven’ or ‘parameters’ from which members can significantly obtain structure and order in many different ways. This is the case for those members that consider themselves ‘spiritually’ motivated and that are wholeheartedly seeking a spiritual ‘truth’. I know hundreds of people that fit this description and are genuinely happy with their current ‘state’ in life (with all their experiences past and present and expectations).

  Those who find comfort in "structure and order" are like birds in a cage. They're told what to say, do, and think. This is not a "haven"; it's a prison, and those who willingly abide there have abdicated their responsibility to grow up, think for themselves, and live fully as adult human beings. Even so, I would say fine for them if that's what they choose to do, except for the children. To force a child to live a dub childhood is a crime. I know; I lived it, as have many on this forum. It's a horrible experience. You're starting to see the bars of your prison and wondering what's outside. Don't be afraid. If some of the comments here seem crude and angry, welcome to the real world, Neo. Not everything is sunshine and roses. But that's what freedom is, both the good and bad.
